My Mission

I wrote this on Facebook some years ago. I often look back upon what I wrote as my mission statement, and whenever I review it I continue to know this is God’s call upon my life:

Called to the edification of the saints, and sent to bring Christ to the lost sons and daughters.

Some of my education and background:

  • Jesus made himself known to me just before my senior year of high school in 2000.

  • I started at the University of Northern Colorado a s a math major and started getting heavily involved in Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and a local church.

  • The summer of 2004 changed my life forever. God called me to a summer mission project with Cru. I met my now wife Kadra and received my call to ministry.

  • In the fall of 2004 I transferred to Bethel University and ultimately received a major in Bible and Theology, a minor in Math, and was one class short of a philosophy minor.

  • God called me to a PC(USA) church in Fargo, ND for two years.

  • God then called me to attend Dubuque Theological Seminary from 2008-2011.

  • God then called me to Knox Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, KS from 2011-2016 as their Associate Pastor.

  • God made it clear it was time to leave the PC(USA) in 2016. I transferred my ordination to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and served at Lookout Mountain Community Church from 2016-2021 as their Lead Pastor.

  • I now serve in ECO (Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) through Faith Church Minnetonka since the spring of 2021 as their Pastor / Head of Staff.
